My bursary project on the redevelopment of Dharavi in Mumbai, India has been awarded second place in the Editorial Photo Essay Category. The project documents the lives of the people of Dharavi and the issues surrounding the proposed re-development of the area. As Mumbai has expanded what was once wasteland has become prime real estate and if the private landlords get their way over a million people will be forcibly removed or thrown into tower block hell.
